United Way Field Trip

Today, all the almost all of the girls went to a United Way field trip. It was cool since we did a lot of cool activities and were away from the boys. We first talked about the media and how they try to persuade, inform, and entertain us. Sometimes the media also lies to us to try to make us buy their products. We also were able to talk about song lyrics and how they can be positive and negative, but then we watched the music videos for each, and they were also positive and negative, but some conveyed different messages than their lyrics. Then we had some delicious chic-fil-a lunch! It was so much better than the yucky, blucky school lunch that the boys had to eat! (poor them!) After we finished eating, a couple lucky girls got gifts. (I was not one of them!) Then, we decorated some totally awesome materials to design some jeans. Mine didn't turn out so good though, they were covered from top to bottom with feathers! They were hilarious! Well, then we got our pictures taken, and we wrote on our message boards. When we finished that, we left, and got some really awesome purple bags and journals and colorful gel pens! Overall, I had an awesome time away from the guys! There was no worrying about how we would look to them, we were our crazy selves! I loved it so much and I really want to go back next year.
